We're Still Alive

Just so you know...

Back from the dead - With happy family activities

I've realized that when you have a blog called "We're Still Alive" and then you don't post on it for a few months, it could possibly get people worried. So I'll go on a little recap of the events of the last few months.

We've found out just what Rafa would look like at a masquerade.  We've also discovered what it would look like if she hooked up with the invisible man and had a child who developed a mustache and took up theivery.

We've had Calvin's birthday, as he turned 5, and had a great time with special meals, nice gifts (thank you to all who helped toward that), and his very own pink cake.  He likes pink foods.  As strange as that sounds, when you think about it you realize that pink really is the only color that has a specific taste, right?

Rafaela's birthday was only the day after, and we went out on the town for a delicious meal in a Spanish restuarant.  Here's a pic of us from the balcony, the Bosporous in the background.

In a stroke of insanity, we decided that taking Calvin up and down hundreds of feet of castle walls was a good idea.  Scary, but hey, it had a great view:

Another day we went to a museum of Turkish aviation.  Of course, all you who've been to Warner Robins AFB or the Smithsonian would scoff at it, but it was pretty fun for the little guy.

This is Emirgan Park, where Calvin decided that filmless photography was his new occupation.

Calvin and Rafa at the beach.

My Dad will understand this one, especially the goggles.

Here's us in Bulgaria, where food is cheap and beer is good.  You can also get brain surgery from midgets for stunningly low prices.  Don't be fooled by the perspective illusion.  She really is that small.

Well, now that you know that we're still alive, and I've brought you all up to speed, I feel freer to post about each event as it comes, instead of feeling backlogged.  Unless I wait until we're backlogged again...

This is a blog...

to let all those who care about us know, regularly, that we're still alive, and more than that, we hope to actually use this to keep everybody informed of what's going on in the lives of Nathanael, Rafaela and Calvin.
